Austin's free splash pads are summer lifesavers for little kids. City pads are open May 1–October 31, with no fee. Go in the morning for shade, and pack water shoes because the concrete gets hot. Timing: May 1 – October 31 (City of Austin).

  • Hours (in 2026: 9am–8pm through Sept, 9am–6pm in Oct, per city pages)
